CU Equestrian Team Horses
Roosters Best Chance

We call him “Fabio.” Chance is a 2005 AQHA Gelding. He has his AQHA ROM in reining and spent this year playing around in the Western Dressage arena. Chance is Lynn’s personal horse but she has fun throwing CU riders up on him for a “spin!”
Fancy Mea Tomme Too

"Tomme", a 2003 APHA/PHBA gelding, is my daughter's top 10 world champion show horse. He is a finished all-around horse with multiple world, state and honor roll awards. A perfect gentleman for anyone at any level, he is a wonderful, patient teacher.
Zipped Up Trouble

“Disney” as we call her is our “homegrown” little darling, an APHA 2007 mare. She is quiet, kind and easy. Our own team rider Melanie Colletta has done a fabulous job working with her and fitting her for the upcoming season as a team horse. She will offer the rider a smooth ride, and will be a “confidence” builder as she is well trained and tuned. A great horse to learn on indeed!
A Time For Grace

An AQHA /PHBA 2006 mare, “Grace” was born, raised and trained at Haystack Acres. She is a big gal, 16.3 hands. She is kind, gentle and well trained. Grace likes to lope in place so she is a good horse to learn Western Pleasure on.
Assets Potential

We know him as “Jackson.” He is new to our team this year. Jackson is a big boy at 16.3 hands. He is very well trained, flying lead changes, finished pleasure horse but won’t give it to you for free. He is one of our team favorites. Finished and polished, he is a perfect teacher for all levels.

“Killean” is a 2008 APHA gelding who was born and raised at Haystack Acres. He is very well trained and very athletic. This is his first year as a team horse, and everyone will love him. His trot is very smooth but he tends to be lazy so he will be a “leg strengthening” ride.
Im Exquisite In Gold

“Lizzie” is an AQHA/PHBA aged mare. She is our rock solid, anybody can ride retired show mare. She has “been there, done that” a lovely horse to ride.
Adrianne Artifacts

“Slew” is new to the team this year as well. He is an APHA 2007 gelding by Indean Artifacts. Wonderfully bred, we intend to show jump him. However, he is a bit immature and needs a year of going around the pen, learning to relax. A perfect gentleman for the team, he is a joy to ride and very personable to be around. He will be great for all levels.
Van Bar Black Ice

Dice is a 1998 APHA flashy paint gelding. He is very well trained and very wise with lots of personality. He will show any mistake the rider makes with their hands, seat or legs because he has so much “feel". He is a great teacher, requiring his rider to be soft and quiet. He is smooth and very enjoyable to ride, one of the team “favorites".
